Hi there! We’re Rome––the modern enterprise Supply Chain platform.

Every product travels through a tangled web of suppliers, factories, and carriers—but the data powering this flow is stuck in emails and ancient systems that don’t talk to each other. The result? Massive waste and hidden costs. Every third container moves empty—billions lost, and the environmental cost is even higher.

We believe AI finally makes it possible to solve this. There should be a single, real-time system of record for how goods actually move—one place that connects all the data and lets F250s optimize the end-to-end flows. That’s what we’re building at Rome.

We’re a team of former YC founders & Palantir engineers, and we’re hiring a founding engineer to help build the core platform and help define both the product and the company. The kind of work we’re doing tends to resonate with people who have a strong grasp of database systems.

This is a fairly unique opportunity: we’re already working (paid) directly with the C-suite at five of the F250s. But we’re still just a five-person team—so there’s lots of room for ownership, impact, and career growth. The network @ Rome is also fairly strong: our investors include General Catalyst, and the founders of Dropbox, Perplexity, Toast, and others.

If you’re excited to move fast, take full ownership, and help build critical infrastructure for the global economy—we’d love to chat. You can reach me at [email protected] or drop by our office on 60 Charlton St in NYC.
